from W10 because of security issues, I am reluctant to make these changes. As I understand that Microsoft dropped SMB1 etc. I do not understand what this means or how to do it. I do not really understand what that means but have also read “I’ve activated (SMB1, SMB2, SMB3) and (NTML V1 and NTML V2) and I’m able to add it to Sonos app). In the end I went for a two unit solution, a separate HUMAX HD recorder for my PVR purposes and a LG BD570 BluRay Media Center player. I have also read that “The Sonos feature included in Twonky is not functionally supported. There was nothing I could find that would confirm its ability to playback media from another DLNA server device e.g. Under Viera Tools you can select DLNA and it will see the M圜loud 3TB however, when looking at the directory of video files under the Public directory, not all videos show up and some are listed twice. I did once set it on, but the required server restart failed (I am using a Windows 10 laptop to configure the Twonnky Server). TwonkyMedia enables you to stream music, photos and videos to devices throughout your home. There was nothing I could find that would confirm its ability to playback media from another DLNA server device e.g. Watch on TV Create and manage playlists Sharing Continuous video and music play Upload videos and photos Access to your DLNA Home Media Servers. The Sonos app sees the Music (Folders, Albums, Tracks) but says “an error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701). I too was interested in the DMR-BS780 but after much reading AFAIK the DMR-BS780 is not a DLNA client - it is a DLNA server - ie other devices connect to it. Twonky Media Server is a service for providing DLNA access to your media files on your NAS appliance. All works fine except the Music will not play on my Sonos Play1 via the Sonos app (Version: 13.3 OS:S2) loaded on my (Android) mobile devices. I have a Western Digital M圜loud EX2 Ultra hosting a Twonky Server (Version 8.5.2-5) to provide access to Pictures, Video and Music. TwonkyMedia enables you to stream music, photos and videos to devices throughout your home.
